After a week of deliberation, Statesboro High is still undecided as to what classification it will pursue for athletic competition in the 2010-11 school year. Information

Statesboro is most notably a football and boys basketball power. The football team has most recently won state championships in 2001 and 2005 and is a perennial playoff contender. Lee Hill is one of the most successful basketball coach's in the state, leading SHS to a title in 1991. The Statesboro baseball and track and field teams are also usually very strong.
